Which Cruise-control stalk

Thinking about buying a cruise-control stalk for my 2006 1.6 307 but not sure which on to get.

Parts list shows 6242.Z9 as cruise-control only and 6242.Z8 as cruise-control & speed-limiter.

However Aliexpress list 6242.Z8 as 6-pin and 6242.Z9 as 8-pin although both appear to do cruise-control & speed-limiter.

Is it likely to be safer to get the 8-pin one even if the extra pins turn-out not to be used?

It's likely you haven't got the necessary throttle pedal to run the limiter, but the two position switch should still work. You may find that your ECU doesn't support cruise however...

Is there any way I can test to see if my throttle pedal supports speed limiter or not.

It doesn't have the limiter enabled pedal.

So am I correct in thinking that I need to get a 1601.Q6 throttle pedal for it as well, is that the right part number? Is the wiring the same, seem to recall when I checked before that it had a 4-pin connector.

Just so you don't think I'm ignoring you - I can't provide an answer for you as it's not originally fitted equipment.

6242.Z9 is indeed for a vehicle without speed limiter function so i would say the ali express pics are wrong.
I have only ever retro fitted CC without speed limiter but my understanding is if you fit the newer stalk (with speed limiter) the CC will still work as it should but you wont get SL functionality unless you have a correctly wired throttle pedal with 'hard spot' & also programmed correctly.

Purchased the 8-pin one in the end; cruise-control works fine. That was a very cheap enhancement.
