Hi, I have same issue on my 2015mk2 grand picasso. Fan blower constantly on. I can't find the location of the relay on my model.
Any chance you could take a look if I send the VIN?
It's proper doing my nut in!
Mark
Hi,
Did you get your problem sorted? I have the same issue as you.
hi Marc, l found the above diagram very informative and diagnosed the problem on my 2008 C4 GP as an intermittent feed from relay 7 which feeds the blower relay 8048, l have resolved this by removing the blower relay and inserting a 35A fused link across the terminals, this seems to work perfectly. The blower comes on and off with the ignition and everything seems ok,l would have a look at relay 7 which l think may be faulty(fuse 11 is sound) but l don't know where R7 is located ?
If I gave you my vin number could you also post the pictures if they are different from the one's in this thread. My car is a 2015 C4 Grand Picasso and I have the issue that when I turn the car off the cabin heater fan still continues to work so I have to disonect the battery
Hi Marc,
I have the same issue on my 2016 C4GP, with the blower running constantly at full blast regardless of dashboard settings. When I turn off the car however, the blower stops.
I'd be really grateful if you could tell me if the above instructions are likely to apply to mine too
VIN is:
VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Hi, Been scouring the internet and couldn't find location of fuse for blower. found it here. Mine had blown. hoping to replace it and connect an earth to chassis to solve problem.
Need to remove the wire looms
Can you post a pic of where you found the relay in your engine please? I've gone down the same route as everyone else it seems - blower changed (it was faulty - tested it off a separate 12V supply). Bought the resistor pack; no difference and some bizarre voltage readings coming out of it. Last few things to check are the relay. Also, is there a fuse in the engine bay? I bought the Haynes manual - very disappointed in that, as it's missing a huge amount of content. It posted a pick of the fuse in the engine bay, but completely wrong.
Hello folks,
My wife’s 2016 c4gp has a problem where the screen clearing blower only operates occasionally. I can’t seem to track down the fault as yet, but have looked at a variety of locations to see if there is water ingress (none found) or chafed wiring (nothing noted). If I post the VIN can someone get me the diagrams / images that will help with diagnosis please?
Hi - I’ve got a 2014 C4 which has the same problem. Could be blocked scuttle drains. So will need to check those. It only went a couple of days ago and I was also planning on looking at the resistor. It came back to life this afternoon but then went again. Indicating the motor is still working (it went up and down in power before it packed up). So I’m at a loss. Did you manage to figure yours out? Regards, Pete
Further to this... I have been looking to see if there are drainage holes blocked. I can't see any and it appears the channel just directs water into the wheel arches... oddly there are shaped rubber/foam type buffers either end of the channel. They appear to be SOAKED through. I can't hear any sloshing of fluids...
My VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. 2014 C4 Picasso (not the GRAND PICASSO).
So the problem is that the far suddenly stopped working the other day. I had already done some reading on it and wondered whether it was water damage from blocked drainage scuttles (still a possibility if there are drain holes in the wheel arch?), the resistor or the motor. Or a relay.
The off thing was it was working when I started the car today. Then shortly after it cut out again.
For anyone having faced this before, any idea what this could be? An intermittent fault on the relay? Or problems with the resistor or motor?
