It needs a diagnostic first to be honest, diagrams are by system, so would need to get some fault codes first.

Check the earth points near the inner wings behind the headlights then check all fuse terminals for corrosion aswell. Then get it diagnosed.Andrewrobinson 123 J wrote: 10 Jun 2024, 14:36 Can you please help me with a electrical problem with my c3 Picasso there’s power in the battery no lights/ power on the dashboard nothing working just a clicking noise from fuse box in glove box

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
Since the major repairs to the c3 its been very busy and going well, apart from the low oil pressure waring at first start up which soon goes off after its running , i can live with that BUT... the oild strainer in the turbo oil feed piper was taken out as it was the new modified plastic type which was broken all broken bits found , seems when this eas removed then this fsult cam back up , diagnostic showing good all pressure & temp , so my next plan for an oil change is to use a little thicker grade , ive seen some posts saying the oil was changed and a thicker one added & the fault went. So were see.

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
Pleased to hear the C3 is going well Husky... That's a bit bizarre about the oil pressure. The proper oil is so worryingly thin - I've seen thicker water
Be interesting to see what a thicker one does. What are you planning on using?

This was my usual , https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303136465623 ... media=COPY
So i thought id try , its pretty good stuff, if i notice any changes i can flush it and refill will the thinner 5w 30 grade again as ive a drum of it. So many posts online saying when a thicker grade was used it was ok , were see. Will report my findings as and when.

Were see in the morning .

Its come on grrrrrr... only thing i can think of its either the pump , hope not , or that new sensor has a weak connecting harness , but for the while its driving good its doing as it should & times a bit tight a present with personal stuff but once things come back to a good time scale i will take c3s face off & dig in to the sensor ... again , lol

That's got to be a benefit Husky! I get the feeling you may not be rushing to fix that...

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
Just a thought on the oil pressure issue.. It's almost like the oil filter housing is draining down and emptying when the car has been sitting for a while..
Apologies if I'm guilty of a bit of egg sucking education here but is the filter the right one and is the little spigot and associated O ring good? I ask as it strikes me the design is not the most robust and if that little spigot broke (or was damaged) on installation or the O ring was not good it might allow it to empty overnight. The loss of the spigot would not necessarily otherwise show up as oil pressure would build after a few seconds although the filter would effectively be partially bypassed.
As I say, just a thought...

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
See what you mean Jim, when i did the change yesterday normaly the oil filter is still stuck on to the filter housing top , this wasnt it was still in the housing bottom , maybe makes no differnce , anyway ive noticed this new oil filter housing top seems to take ages to screw down so i might swap this top for the original one as i did keep the old unit as a just in case, but this can wait till the next oil chage i know the pressure is ok because a bush type of test was carried out started the car gave a little rev up , no warning on dash , so this leads me to think this new housing could be leaking back like you suggest Jim. I think if it was the oil pump id not have a car by now as ive done a few thousand mile since that massive gear box & engine over haul was done
