No problem. Basic vehicle options like engine code and transmission type are part of the VIN code, not the engine code.

Re: Citroen 1.2 Puretech engine oil and cam belt
My C4 Grang 2017 developed an oil pressure issue - red warning light saying STOP Engine fault. This happened when cornering then stoped on the straight. Took to garage and they replaced wet belt for £800. Complained to Citroen. They agreed to pay the material costs of £300 but not the labour as the car had been fully serviced outwith their dealerships. Should I continue to seek the labour costs?

Re: Citroen 1.2 Puretech engine oil and cam belt
You can try but to be honest it’s up to them how much food will, if any they will make. They will say that unless you can evidence that the vehicle has been serviced at the required interval and to the specific servicing requirements and checks, that this is all they’re prepared to contribute towards. They will likely say that an aftermarket garage may not have made the additional checks for this specific issue that a Citroen dealership servicing dept. would.
However, there’s another issue you need to be aware of other than just replacing the timing belt. If the engine oil light has come on, it means there’s a blockage most likely which is what can happen when the belt starts to break up. You really need to make sure that apart from the belt being changed that the oil strainer has been checked and any debris and buildup of the old timing belt shredding has been removed. There could be a significant amount of debris still in the system which will restrict oil flow.
It is when the car is driving at high speed that this can become quite severe and where the engine fails as a result of oil starvation. So I suggest you check with your mechanic who changed the belt whether they made all the necessary checks , and removed any of the old debris as changing the belt is not enough.
A blockage can also affect braking because of the reduced air vacuum.

Garage cleaned the strainer and replaced the oil. They want me to do another oil change after 1000 mikes to remove any further debris. The car was also subject to the recall last year where the dealership found no issues and updated software to avoid brake issues. Car was fully serviced from new.

Ok, so essential to use the correct grade AND specification of oil recommended by PSA for these engines as the correct grade alone is not sufficient. Pop your VIN up if you want these.

You will need to provide your VIN for this. With a car only a year old if you start changing the oil and not letting the dealer do it you could be voiding the 3 year warranty.

Hi, the correct oil for your vehicle is:
EM:00W20 B71 2010 - 00W20 B71 2010 (C5)
Macedonia is also a temperate country, listed in the same table as the UK, so with this country and your EB2 engine code of 'HMR', the grade is as I've listed it.
Your dealership needs to read their technical bulletins and adhere to the servicing requirements laid down by Citroen. I would report them to Citroen if they are not complying with this as it can affect warranty claims by customers if the incorrect oil has been used in the event of testing under a claim. I would query this with the dealership Manager and demand that they flush and refill with the correct oil!
Have a look at the official oil guide here under table A for temperate countries and your HMR code under the EB engine section:
viewtopic.php?p=768074#p768074
I have also double checked online with Citroen on their database and the information is the same.

Thank you I also saw that list and it came that 0w 20 oil shuld be used and also suplied by Total, but they are filling it with 0w 30 and alredy 17500 k touch on wood the belt looks fine, but the aftersales are very uninformative and they lie to me numerous times, and even try to convince me that its normal for new car to hear weird noises and cracling from windows etc.

The oil has changed early 2024 Michael.
You now need grade: 5W30
