LH Rear Indicator not working 2010 Dispatch.
Chaps, Lh Rr indicator has packed up. I changed a brake light bulb the other day so presumed I'd knocked the bulb, Changed it, no change. Checked with a multimeter from the rear socket on the light cluster to the +ve bulb contact for continuity, all fine. Checked the indicator feed wire on the plug with a multimeter and a bike indicator, sod all. Looked for a fuse and it doesn't seem to have one? The side repeater and front one are working albeit at twice the pace which is how I knew I was a bulb down.
Where to heck do I look now?
MOT in a fortnight, sod's law.
Thanks in advance
Cheers

My nieghbour had similar issue on his Grand Picasso.
I suggested he carried out BSI reset (Link below)and this fixed the problem.
For sake of a couple of minutes it's worth a go.

Re: LH Rear Indicator not working 2010 Dispatch.
Cheers, tried it but alas no joy. Plugged diag in and got a code B4BD Lh Rr indicator short to earth.
So I guess it's time to probe wires.
Are there any typical places this can be a problem?
Are there any connectors that can be unplugged and probed?
The loom travels across the top of the rear doors, down the rhs of the roof then looks like it disappears down the A Pillar trim.
Does anyone know the code on the wire please? I can see sod all on the exposed bit by the plug.
There is a trailer relay behind the panel on the lhs. Could a wire be nicked from there? Guessing not as it's all computer controlled and the proper lh rr lamp would still be disactivated by the BSI. Never had to play with the electrickery on a new car.
Cheers

Re: LH Rear Indicator not working 2010 Dispatch.
Had a look at the BOL's
Also it would appear from the diagram that it is a one piece harness from the light to the BSI, would this sound correct?
I unplugged the rear cluster and ran a fault check.
It came up the same for the indicator but short to positive to the other bulbs. Going from this info if I unplug the harness from the BSI it should show up as a fault to positive on all lamps if the harness is at fault, yes or no?
Any advice gratefully received
Cheers
What do the numbers/codes refer to? Pin numbers and wire codes? Also it would appear from the diagram that it is a one piece harness from the light to the BSI, would this sound correct?

BSI info needed
Trying to find out what's going on with my Lh Rr indicator.
I've followed the BOLs and when I've got to the bit about removing the BSI cover I'm stuck.
There is another electronic boxed stuck to the top of it. It's been modified in as much as extra wires have been added. Presumably for a jack plug that's poking out of the dash and a rear view dash mounted camera screen that wifis to the camera above the rear doors.
2 questions.
Firstly what is it?
Secondly, could someone please tell me which of the plugs in the BSI feed the rear light cluster. I'm trying to find out why the indicator is short to earth.
If I can unplug the loom I should be able to test the individual wires.
Cheers

PSA Electrical Diagrams - Wiring & Symbols Codes Index
As you can see the rear left and right lighting unit (2630) uses MC80 earthing point, so I would check the connection shown back to the cluster on the second diagram below. Also check the electrical connection, specifically pins and socket, especially the earth for signs of melting. Try an earth bypass to see if the issue is the earth point or not.

Re: LH Rear Indicator not working 2010 Dispatch.
Thanks for all the advice on the other threads regarding the satnav and BSI plugs, wiring diagrams etc. I've got the BSI out. I can't work out which pin socket powers the indicator. My plan is to do a resistance test along the wire from plug to plug. If this shows up OK and not shorted then plug all other plugs back in then do a diag fault check and everything should come up short to positive (open circuit) on that unconnected plug. If the LH rr indicator still shows Short to earth then the BSI may be shot?
Does this sound a decent plan?
Does anyone know which socket relates to the plug? I'm thinking bottom right labelled EP Noir/Black but am unsure.
I've already checked the wire from the Rr cluster plug for a short to earth and it reads OK. I've also checked the plug wires to see if any of these are shorted to each other, fine. I've also plugged in the RH RR cluster on the LHS and the fault remains.

I've merged these 2 threads to avoid repetition and duplication Pete. Please keep all related posts on this thread.
The diagram I supplied (now above) is for your vehicle and shows the pins and wiring for the rear light cluster indicator and connections to the BSI.

Re: LH Rear Indicator not working 2010 Dispatch.
Thanks Marc. It's the '16V NR' on the diagram I am confused about. There isn't anything that resembles that marked on the BSI to give me a clue as to which socket it is.The closest thing I have is a socket labelled 'EP Noir' but nothing that realtes to '16V'.

16v NR is this one
Remember it refers to the colour of the connector on the harness, not on the BSI.

Re: LH Rear Indicator not working 2010 Dispatch.
Thanks Wheeler. I dawned on me from somewhere that the 16V referred to the number of pins (not mentioned anywhere that I could see in the BOLs) . Tested it and I have continuity plug to plug and no short to earth so looks like a BSI problem.
Is this the case or is there some other electrickery that can cause this issue?
When hazards are on all indicators flash at the correct speed...apart from the dead one.
Can I nick a feed from the trailer socket behind the Rr Lh panel or the side repeater or will this cause another issue or overload?
Cheers very much for all the help so far
