Re: Possible cause for concern ?
No. it's an already known issue.
The work required a new safety spring cup to be fitted that would prevent spring damage. We had ours go on our old C3 and they were replaced. As far as I know this was only an issue on the C3.

Good move, as they can cause a lot of damage if they go with missing or defective caps!

Re: Possible cause for concern ?
I find myself replacing a lot of springs these days, all makes and models, interestingly the majority of broken springs still have shiny paint on them, I also see rusty springs that look as if they have been on the seabed for ten years that just keep going. perhaps some drivers are more dilligent at pothole spotting?

That'll be me - I'm more likely to have an oncoming collision from pot and drain hole avoidance!

I take it not on the C3 Picasso. I checked for recalls yesterday and none advised...GiveMeABreak wrote: 13 Feb 2024, 10:05 No. it's an already known issue.

Can you confirm Marc?

Re: Possible cause for concern ?
The cups were fitted to C2, C3, Berlingo & Xsara Picasso as part of recalls. i have no idea how they determined which ones got recalled as not all got them fitted.

Re: Possible cause for concern ?
Nothing shown Jim. But then IIRC ours just went on the front driver's side one day when the car was being reversed - bang and that was it, collapsed at the front offside.
We had to get it replaced locally and towed on a flatbed, but luckily no peripheral damage.

Stiff and jiggly on low-profile tyres like mine Husky but not loud or crashy... It's very conventional PSA stuff.Huskyxantia wrote: 17 Feb 2024, 20:02 Is it me or is the front suspension on the c3 picasso hard and loud ?
