This past Saturday, I experienced a flat tire on the front left side and had to tow my car. Subsequently, I acquired some good used tires that were fitted to the front axle on tuesday. It's worth noting that the original tires were 225/65/R17, while the ones we fitted were 225/55/R17. Initially, everything seemed fine. Noteworthy a heavy snowstorm was over the town at the time.
However, yesterday (wednesday), while driving to work, various fault codes started appearing (ABS system, ESP system, parking brake, power steering, etc.), and the car's power decreased noticeably.
Fortunately, I managed to reach work and attempted to clear all fault codes. I succeeded in clearing all but U0415. I took a chance and drove home in the afternoon. After some time, the fault codes reappeared, and the car seemed to stutter while driving, as if the ABS was reacting. I stopped the car and sought help from my brother, who assisted in getting the car to a garage. We connected an OBD reader (see below). Does anyone have an idea of what the fault might be?
I have a few thoughts that I would like to share with you:
Could snow have affected some sensors?
Could the different tire dimensions be causing the issue?
Could the ABS sensor have been damaged when I had the flat tire?
The car is currently in a warm garage to test the first idea, and this afternoon, I plan to check the ABS sensor. If you have any additional insights, I would greatly appreciate hearing them.
Thank you in advance!
