1.6 HDI 8v or 16v

Hi new to forum was wondering if i post my vin if any one can tell me which engine it has and also if this car would have a dual mass flywheel or not. I believe the engine is a DV6C 6 speed manual.
It is a 2011 C4 Picasso but i get conflicted info from using the reg or the vin to find parts.

Yes, post up the VIN (it will auto hide) and we can check. I would expect a 2011 to be a DV6C 8V, but if it was reg early in 2011, it could be a carry over car with the 16V engine. Either way it will have a DMF!

Vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
The reason I ask about dmf is I also have conflicting info that only the egs models have a dmf where as mine is 6 speed manual no egs that may not.

Hi

Service Box confirms DV6C 8V engine, and dual mass flywheel.

Note that SB also indicates a recall on it, which implies that if it's over 75k then they will replace the timing belt - so if it hasn't been done, then worth a chat with your local dealer to see if they will do it for free!

ok thx for your help looks like its an expensive clutch and dmf replacement job then. I will look into the timing belt recall after that is sorted.
