Re: Bearing Cap Bolts
Hi All,
before I put this back together, Can anyone tell me if they think the bearings need replacing there is some very light scoring/scratches and discoloration? I also would like some advice on on the finish on the lobe of the crank. It's the really rough looking surface in the 4th and 5th pics it looks deliberate to me I imagine it is factory and is to aid distribution of oil in the Sump.

Re: Bearing Cap Bolts
Plastigage and factory specs would be you friend here. Can you feel any roughness with a fingernail?

Re: Bearing Cap Bolts
Had an engine builder have a look at these he said they are fine so a win I think.
