Xantia octopus solution

I have been trying to find a good solution for the return hydraulic pipes and now I think I have found it! Instead of making it the same as it was with T-pieces I modified my LHM reservoir so now I don't have any joints between pipes but instead every pipe is individually routed to the reservoir. In case of a leaking pipe it's very easy to change it and you have to disconnect only the pipe that is leaking. I made a slight mistake that the connections are oriented towards the engine (lack of space). The connections should be oriented towards the front of the car as there is much more space.

So all you need is a connector with a screw thread, nut, and a seal. Images should say more than words. This could be a sticky mind you!

Well in my opinion that's probably the best and cheapest way to renew the octopus. It would be probably better if connectors to the LHM reservoir would be bent by 90°, so they would face down. The pipes would have much more space and they wouldn't be so bent and not under so much "bent stress". Ahhh my English, hard to say what I'm thinking...

I would think a bracket to support the pipes and take the "strain & vibration" would also have the effect of protecting the tank plastic from splitting.

Did this work? As this week I am looking at doing something similar with copper brake pipe and rubber grommets for the three small pipes that come off the hanging tree arrangement. Mine all have extreme leaks now and I can't afford the LHM they are going through.

Yes it works....but take care of the plastic tank by making sure there is no tension/strain on it
