2.2 hdi LPFP sensor?

Unread post by daniel_st »

Hi!
My lift pump doesn't turn on.
When connected directly to a 12V source, it works.
Which sensor causes the computer to stop it?
Is it the one in the fuel filter housing?
My suspicion is it's reporting constant pressure, so the computer doesn't consider it necessary to turn on the pump.
What else could it be?
No errors on dash, crank no-start due to no fuel.

Thanks!

Fuse F2 (15A) in the engine compartment Fuse Box controls the fuel gauge pump.

Assuming this is a mk1 Unplug the 16 way grey connector on the under bonnet fusebox check for signs of overheating on pin 11 or 12 (one of them is empty, can’t remember which one) the corresponding terminal will be discoloured. Probably just removing & refiiting this connector will make it start. The terminal in the plug can be replaced separately & clean the pin in the fusebox.

Fuse is ok, but I'm getting 1volt at it, and 1 volt back at the tank pump. I don't see a 16-way connector under it, there's just an array of 50A big fuses.

EDIT: Oh, you meant the one on top. I'll try that now.
