Hi!
I will start by saying i have charging issues that i try to nail down.
Anyone know if there is a way to do a full field test on these alternators.
Should it work just removing the 5 pin connector and rev the car to get output if the alternator works but the ecu controlling it is broken ?
Or do i need to patch the connector?
Or even easier if its possible to activate the charging always in diagbox somehow ?

If it is one of the smart alternators that varies voltage based on need, then you may find its voltage will increase if the head lights and rear window heater are switched on.

Yes, its the smart 180a alternator with 5 pin connector.

Can even be something closer to the controller talking to the alternator through the lin bus. So my first check was to se if i could trick the alternator to output power always like a full field test for dumb alternators.

A few pointers for different vehicles where these 2 codes are present:
C5 X7:
Fault: The stop and start system no longer works with message "Battery charging circuit fault" on the multifunction screen - with fault codes p1A92 and p1A93 present.
Erase the fault codes.
Start the vehicle and accelerate up to 2000 rpm.
Check the battery voltage:
If the voltage is less than 13 V: Replace the alternator
If the voltage is more than 13 V: Continue the operation
Read the fault codes again:
In the presence of fault codes P1A92, P1A93: Replace the alternator
In the absence of fault codes P1A93, P1A93: Do not replace the alternator
C4 Picasso:
Fault: Drop in engine speed when returning to idle with lighting of the engine diagnostics warning lamp - in the presence of one or more of the following fault code(s) P1A92, P1A93 (While driving or on return to idle speed).
In the presence of one or more of these 2 codes: Replace the Alternator.
I don't have your VIN, so can't advise if similar applies to your 508.

My broken generator is the valeo with part no 9675753680-02
I found a used one for a decent price and its a valeo part no 9675753680-04 its from a newer car Peugeot 3008.
Im hoping that the end no there is just a version no can someone with knowledge or tools verify?

It worked and they where the same 
I also got a reply from the alternator producer that the alternator cant be full field tested without a proper test equipment that can talk lin with thr alternator.

I found alot of nice information about the lin bus and how to use it and I think its possible to with very low means(Arduino or lin to uaet device) do a alternator test. I will get back here if i succeed.
I will also giv it a shot to repair the old alternator if its possible. Change coals ans bearings and also verify the recitifier bridge.
