I have a 2022 model C5X 130 shine.
Had it since December 2022.
I have a couple of issues which I have contacted Citroen main dealers (2 different ones) and neither have been able ton sort it.
I have also contacted Citroen UK with same result.
Issue 1.
Alarm keeps activating unless I deactivate the internal sensors. Apparently Citroen are aware and are trying to sort the issue out. Last at dealer in August 2023 who said citroen are aware but still haven't given a solution.
Issue 2.
I work on Android Auto as I have a new Samsung S22 phone. Whenever I connect it via USB it will often drop out and then ask me to connect device. Sometimes it will automatically reconnect but lastbtime it dropped out 10 times in ½ mile. Sometimes it will connect by Bluetooth to Android Auto but not often.
Have tried various leads including lead that came with phone but no difference.
I have connected phone via USB and Bluetooth to other Android Autos on other cars without issue. Dealer says its the phone but I reckon its something to do with the infotainment system. Itvhas been reset several times with no change.
Issue 3.
The fitted sat-nav is Tom-Tom. The only english speech I can use is English (American) which uses different phraseology and feet rather than yards. The Dealer is unable to change to speech to English (English). I have driven another citroen C4e and that is English English as are a Peugeot 2008 (23 plate) which has same system. The mechanic did check another new and unregistered C5X and that had same issue with the Tom-Tom.
Just wondering if anyone else has had these issues and if so how did you combat it?
Thanks.
Steve

Re: C5x issues
As it's a relatively new model, there are bound to be teething issues. Not making excuses for them, but real world driving conditions are the only way these bugs and issues are going to show up. With all first generation new models, it is going to take a while to release software updates and fixes I'm afraid, so there's nothing you'll be able to do until they release them - but don't be tempted to do anything invasive yourself, or you'll invalidate your warranty.
As long as it's been logged and reported and you have that recorded somewhere, they should fix it as soon as there is a solution. Of course, this generally also involves the suppliers of the equipment / module to Citroen, so as they build up a common profile of issues they'll be able to get a fix out.

Re: C5x issues
Thanks- I fully understand about being a new model (ours was the first on the road that was owned/leased in Essex).
I was just wondering if anyone else had the same issues.

Re: C5x issues
Our alarm keeps going off for no reason too. It's been a bit more frequently recently. When it does, a simple unlock and let it relock on its own normally sorts it out. If that doesn't work, then a quick visit opening a rear door and reclosing it and walking away sometimes works.
I've been asking about UK English since we first got the car back in September 2022. At first, it did speak to us in UK English even though UK English wasn't an option in the list of languages. However an update removed that by putting the car into French so I had to select US English. I have asked over on TomTom forums about it too but to no avail. I raised a new case via the Citroen app at the start of October but no timescale is forthcoming. I'll continue to do that on a monthly basis from now on. Hopefully if enough people do that then they may take notice about how unhappy we are!

Re: C5x issues
Tom Tom only deal with the mapping side IIRC, the firmware is released by Stellantis / manufacturer of the systems to address any issues, so yes, do keep on at the dealer, It will take a while to get enough people to moan about it before it's flagged as an issue, but may be a localised UK issue, so may take longer.
As far as the alarm goes, you may have a fault volumetric sensor in the cabin. Try closing the air vents on the dash temporarily before locking the vehicle and removing any fluffy dice off the mirror or other objects that can move and set the alarm off. Failing that it could be a bonnet catch or the alarm module itself.
If you have your VIN, I can check to see if they release a technical bulletin any time soon. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

It's not just the maps: https://www.tomtom.com/customers/citroen-c5-x/
See also this post in thread 'Anyone know how to change voice on Citroen C5X in-car navigation?' https://www.tomtomforums.com/threads/an ... ost-198375
I cannot believe that the software doesn't support UK English given TomTom's heritage in navigation devices so I suspect that the supplied software has been misconfigured somewhere along the line. That could be either Citroen or TomTom's fault.
I just hope someone within Citroen will sort it out. The more UK customers that raise the issue, the more likely Citroen might fix it.

Re: C5x issues
Ah yes, I used that last week in the new C4. Worse than my current system and very fiddly steering wheel controls. This is the IVI system used by Stellantis and Tom Tom still provide the mapping software, but the IVI (In Vehicle Infotainment) system itself is made for Stellantis and they will maintain it.
The actual IVI system is manufactured by Magneti Marelli and Harman I believe in several variations depending on trim level.
Bit of a nasty prang on this one....

Re: C5x issues
Just had two long updates onto the infotainment system. I now have English (UK) on Tom Tom.
To access it - on the 'Search' screen - there is a round internet/world icon to the right of the space bar. Press that and other language options now appear. Yet to try it on a route but so far so good!

Re: C5x issues
What can happen is that sometimes updates can restore default settings for some features. Mine did this twice after updates concerning the Navigation where it wouldn't find anything, then I realised that it has set the default country back to France!
So I had to set the country back to UK and check all the other language settings and all is fine now. So worth checking each time you update to make sure this hasn't happened to you.

I've not had them yet. Does that also affect the voice?Radders wrote: 16 Oct 2023, 16:48 Just had two long updates onto the infotainment system. I now have English (UK) on Tom Tom.

Re: C5x issues
Great shout on the internal alarm sensors in the car, my alarm would go off if I left the child mirror down when locking. Took me ages to figure out how to stop it.

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Re: C5x issues
I have a Citroen C5x shine plus hybrid and it also has an alarm fault. If it locks automatically when you leave vehicle there is no problem because by doing this the alarm is not activated. If you use the key to lock ,thus activating alarm, the car alarm goes off. This has been the case since new and is currently the only fault the car has.
