Xantia gear stick

Hi, the top of my gear stick, is breaking up, on my S2 Xantia. just looked on Ebay, there are loads! all slightly different! anybody sourced one recently ? if so , where? thanks in advance Terry.

This is getting to be a very common problem now, on many PSA vehicles... The one on Daffodil, my erstwhile AX, did the same and became a jigsaw puzzle.. I glued it back together using superglue and araldite but I believe from her current custodian it did not last... But then, I'm rubbish with glue...

The Xantia gear knob is a fit once job as it's secured by barbs and once fitted cannot be successfully removed. It's therefore pointless to go for a second-hand one...

I'd make a wooden one on a lathe. Nicely polished and varnished it'll look good. Some models of Xantia did have wooden ones so it won't be entirely out of character. You could even turn a rebate in it to accept the gear legend disc on top of it
