Could also promote FCF at the same time, companies tend to go the extra mile if they know a review is being written about them.

That 309 looks lovely (Cherry?) Red really suits it. Never realised GTi spec and automatic could be paired together = Japanese market oddity??
1.9 too, given the 15" Speedlines, would go rather well I'd guess!

I did a 360 degree spin on the brow of a hill in the first one of those I drove, luckily there was no other traffic.

Just dipped into Mathewsons Sept sale part 1, and being auctioned live was this Vauxhall Viva. Amazing any survived and most made their way into the scrapyards after a bit of life as a near MOT failure in the late 70's.

Colour caught my eye, and in decent nick, and this is a nice little reminisce video. You had to press something under the steering wheel to release the Key from the ignition...never had one never knew.

Exceeded expectations and the hammer fell at £7,450.

That's an awful lot for what I will always consider the most awful car of the 70s. I speak from very painful experience

Too long I guess except for 70's nostalgia lovers, but the last of the line here from 1979, and hubnut does pull out some interesting observations. I'll nick a screenshot of one and put it in "lights interesting and awful". The colour is Jamaica Yellow, and if you are going to have a vinyl roof, make sure its caramac coloured just to place the car in the 1970's!

What's happened to the front end of it?
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Inside every old person is a young person wondering what the hell happened.
