Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

It comes up upside down when I zoom in. If you edit the post yourself, delete the picture, then open the pic in paint, resize and set it up upright, save it and then add it back into the post it will come out as you had it in paint!!

Daughter fitting her laminate floor, then a cuppa before tackling the remainder of the kitchen renovation.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
She just gets on with things. Apart from a little help she has fitted her original kitchen from scratch, bought all the wood and cut it up with my circular saw, applied the laminate to the worktops etc. I helped with the plumbing, gas and electrical stuff. Current kitchen was prefabricated units and she had a fitter in to assemble them and fit the sink and worktops, she re-laid the floor and did all the painting.
I helped her move the shower and re-plum and rewire for it, fit a bath where there hadn't been one and fit a new washbasin for her but she did the rest including the tiling.
This is the third house she has done.
She's the same at work, does all sorts that aren't her job when she has time to spare. She has just started at a new place that is a five minute walk for her, instead of a forty minute drive. New place has less work but pays her more and she can work whatever hours suit her. She amazed the owner a couple of days ago starting work on a garden that has not been touched in years. It is a funeral directors and will improve things a lot for the appearance for clients.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
My picture for today has been unashamedly stolen from Jim's Sunday gallery of the Citroen Car Club National Meet!!
I find myself wondering if this is the first of a number of trailers which he intends to run as a C5 train?
Note the towbar still on the trailer!
You can find the link to Jim's full album in his post here!!

Can't help but wonder what's going on / replaced the hydraulics!?
The side skirts bent inwards to meet in the middle is a nice touch (a bit of "work in progress" / duck tape special further up!)

I spoke to the owner, Hannah, and she tells me the hydraulics are in full working order, as is the rear windowMattBLancs wrote: 16 Jul 2023, 19:58 Can't help but wonder what's going on / replaced the hydraulics!?
The rear-end came from a C5 that suffered a severe frontal...
Very much still a work in progress.. the front is to be massively improved in due course...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I'd spotted the rear window down (but incorrectly assumed it was just a "keep fit" manual winder type!)
There is one way to sort the front out, like this: (From https://images.app.goo.gl/gaY2VoPPNHfeQ8uZ8)
I'd imagine the problem with back end of a car as a trailer is generally not enough rear overhang, and so easily becomes quite nose-heavy if you've brought too much of the donor car across.
I'm not sure how well that twin axle Capri would take tight turns, with a fair gap between those axles, imagine quite a bit of scuffing goes on!
Love the idea of if all the same!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Ah, thinking about it, if it's a camper, likely a leisure battery on board (for lights etc when camping) - so that could deal with the high current, intermittent load of the hydraulic pump, trickle charged via the normal trailer socket rest of the time when in the move

We appear to have gained a new drive marker, presumably to help the 'refuse collection engineers' to put our wheelie bins back on the drive where they found them rather than on our grass!!
