Re: Whatsthisthen?
Austin LD range Neil I think, like this one.NewcastleFalcon wrote: 13 Jul 2023, 08:31 There is a question, too easy for a proper whatsthisthen I posed over here.
I remember them as Sunblest Vans and they had the odd windows down by the corners of the footwell. Presumably helped with not bashing into stuff. A small diversion and a bit of wiki or net search will pop out the answer.

I have reason to believe that the Sunblest van is badged as a Leyland FG?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Wouldn't be a bit surprised Mick, so many intermingled names through the post war UK motor industry.

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Spotted in a quiet corner of Northampton this morning...
I got talking to the owner's daughter... It's a bit more special than it might appear and is for sale.. For tragic reasons
More details when it's been identified...
A little hint... It's not the ordinary version of this particular model

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Thinking out loud, I recalled taking some close up photos of tribar lights. These ones are Lucas and were on an Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire may be completely irrelevant of course...you can buy tribars today and fit them to many cars.

Re: Whatsthisthen?
RHD, rearward facing door handle as in pointing at the front, could it be a RHD converted from LHD, so possible American car?

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Interesting to see that the two companies were intertwined, there's a reasonable explanation on Wiki here
