Think perhaps a TR6?? (round headlights, think I'm right with 6 as 7 was the wedge) wouldn't have said front wheels were so very close to the front as they appear in that picture.

Wow, what a beautiful car, I thought the wheels were to close and also it looked like a squared of headlight surround from the original photo you posted. A great Whatsthisthen post!!!

I remember them as Sunblest Vans and they had the odd windows down by the corners of the footwell. Presumably helped with not bashing into stuff. A small diversion and a bit of wiki or net search will pop out the answer.
