c5 x7 speaker sizes

Simple question, looking for the locations and sizes of the speakers in our X7?

Yes REALLY!!! Ears are narf all use when I'm out in the Irish Sea, and the car is in Aberdeenshire, and I want to mail order speakers to fit when I get back. Apart from which, as acute as my hearing is, not even I can hear speaker sizes, so even "finding" the speaker locations wouldn't tell me what sizes I'd need to order, and I dinnae want to remove the door cards more times than necessary.

I'm something of an audiophile, and no that doesn't put me on the sex offenders register :-p & I've aye been aware that the X7 oe sound system is a little muddy sounding top and bottom ends of the spectrum, but to be fair it's fairly tight in the mid range. SO... While the weather is nice, what better time to faff about on the driveway and upgrade the speakers?

(2) / (3) Speakers

Note: You don't have the HiFi option, so won't have the deeptone speaker shown at (5)
You probably won't have the additional pair of tweeters in the rear doors. just the normal speakers, as these were likely part of the HiFi option.

There are no dimensions provided for the speakers, so you'll likely have to whip the door cards off, to get to the speakers themselves.

Be aware that the main speakers are held into the speaker enclosures with 4 bolts, but the speaker enclosures themselves are rivetted in place, so will need drifting out to remove - so unless you are replacing with a speaker that will be compatible for the enclosure / fittings, you may have to replace these too.

Thanks Marc. Three points for guessing which retard used stainless pop rivets rivets to reinstate the drivers door speaker when doing a window regulator around about christmas time? And didn't have the savvy to measure the speaker he had off at that time. Give you a clue, he's located in Irish Sea just now...

Done a bit more digging, and it looks like the speaker sizes are ~6.5" for the main four speakers:

Citroen Part Number: 9711 GH Set of 2 speakers with 2 coaxial channels, 165 mm diameter, of the Pioneer TS series.

So 99% of standard 6.5's will fit in there, question is do I go Vibe!, JBL or something crazy expensive like Rockford Fosgate? I'm leaning towards Vibe!
