Unable to figure the issue myself so hopefully someone here knows the issue.
When I lock the door via the key on the drivers side, the door locks however the passenger door and boot remain unlocked. Is this caused by a fuse or is there a larger underlying issue?

Re: Only driver door locks
Is it really? So how am I supposed to lock the boot and passenger door to secure my car. Sounds a bit strange.

You can only really lock the doors, not aware of any way to lock the tailgate manually.

Does the car not have remote locking/unlocking on the key fob?

It does, however the fob doesn't work ATM and I can't figure that out either. Potentially a fuse issue though. However the door should lock via the key in the drivers side door I'd imagine?

Re: Only driver door locks
Have you tried resynchronising the fob? If it's the same as most recentish PSA cars then the following should work.

Unfortunately I've tried numerous times to resynchronize the fob to no luck. Unless I'm doing it completely wrong which would be very difficult.Paul-R wrote: 10 Jul 2023, 20:00 Have you tried resynchronising the fob? If it's the same as most recentish PSA cars then the following should work.

Re: Only driver door locks
Does the central locking still work from the button on the dash?
What's the story with the remote? was it all working fine one day then just stopped? was it in a intermittent fault first?
Does the car still have the original radio fitted?
Have you replaced the fob battery and made sure its the correct way around? Might sound obvious but catches a lot of people out.
Most garages nowadays should have a fob signal tester, might be worth seeing if someone can check its actually transmitting for you.
As for the manual locking im pretty sure this was normal operation on C2's & early C3's. The key only locks & unlocks the door that the lock barrel is fitted to, the rest of the doors are locked using the little bit on the door shown above (copied from the handbook) . I'm not aware of any way to lock the tailgate if there is a central locking failure.

Re: Only driver door locks
So the central locking from inside works, all doors lock. When I purchased the car the fob didn't work however the seemed to but I can't say for sure it locked all doors. It has got an aftermarket radio installed but didn't see that being an issue however of course I could be incorrect.

Re: Only driver door locks
Actually an incorrectly fitted aftermarket radio can indeed affect the central locking operation, hence the specific question. Next thing you really need to do is confirm that the remote is transmitting a signal.

How would I ensure the remote is transmitting signal?wheeler wrote: 11 Jul 2023, 12:47 Actually an incorrectly fitted aftermarket radio can indeed affect the central locking operation, hence the specific question. Next thing you really need to do is confirm that the remote is transmitting a signal.
