disable aircon - 2002 xsara picasso 1.6 engine

hi all.

is there a way to disable the air con on a 2002 xsara picasso (1.6 engine)?

personally i dont like air con and no mater what i do, it switches on when i start my car.

the screen is hard to view, i guess due to age so it's almost impossible to see what it is doing!

so, any idea how i permanently disable it? a certain fuse maybe?

On the control panel there may be a button marked 'Eco'. If there is, pressing it will turn off the a/c.

You could also unplug either the compressor clutch or the A/C pressure sensor under the bonnet. The latter is probably easier to reach.

hello again! can anyone tell me where the aircon pressure switch is located under the bonnet?

i would 'RTFM' but i dont have one, cannot get one in spain and i have had no joy online.

all help appreciated!
