DS4 Coolant bleed valve

Hello

Couldn't find a topic on this so apologies if I missed it - searched for a long while!

I've been having a problem with my DS4 2012 1.6 200thp for the last few weeks, sudden increase in temp followed by sudden decrease and losing coolant, identified it to be leaking expansion tank which we replaced at the weekend. Unfortunately, the pipes weren't fully secured so one "popped" off after a 50 mile round trip yesterday, coolant sprayed all over engine and road. During the trip prior to pipe coming off the engine temp had stayed steady at around 97 degrees C.

Tried to top up the coolant but keeps going back down again and temperature going up and down whilst running 97-120 within seconds. Seems to be an airlock possibly?

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of the bleed valve/valves? Found one opposite the expansion tank but nothing happened so assuming there are others?

OR an other suggestions greatly appreciated!

There are specific procedures for degassing after a drain refill operation - but for normal procedure for non-Euro 6 engines, it's a matter of Keeping the engine speed at 1500 - 2000 rpm, up to the second cooling cycle (cooling fan(s) cutting in and out).]

Had overheat problem again today so called out RAC, he tested and found no problems with pressure so doesn't suspect air lock however does think it is likely to be that the thermostat needs replacing instead - is the location of this also a paid for option?
