The ultimate in geekery, or an admiration and a well done for taking an interest, and pursuing that interest. I always go for the latter, and always has the benefit of noticing things you wouldn't ordinarily notice.

So O is for a name you will have seen, and maybe will see this very day if out and about. That name is OTIS. Obviously points awarded for original photos today of an OTIS makers Plate on a Lift posted up on the thread.

This chap has a youtube channel about such things with a collection of 16,000 videos (18M views) from all around the world and no doubt parts of Gateshead

I'll stick with my childhood, most Saturdays we spent our 3d on the morning matinee here watching Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, Flash Gordon etc. it's now a listed building but like all cinemas a bingo hall'

I remember the teachers promoting that very strongly when I was at school.
I don't think anyone actually went though.

Well you can't get much more 'O' than this - some 'O' Rings at rest in their natural environment of my shed today. :-D
