Might be correct, but wheel bolt torque I normally use 206 etc is 95Nm so your 207 figure of 120Nm is quite a way above that too. Again, I'll double check in morning (haven't a 207 manual though)
Wheel bolts torque:
306 =85Nm
307 =85Nm
406 =90Nm
(Seems I have been overdoing it a touch on all mine at 95!)
Hub nut torque:
Front, driveshaft nut:
306, M20 nut = 265Nm (think this is smaller engined models)
306 M24 nut =320Nm
307, only one value quoted =325 Nm
406 =325Nm
So whats the 207 ? 36mm nut isnit 170 Nm
Rear, stub axle nut:
306
Drum brakes, Bendix + ABS =185Nm
Drum, not Bendix + van =200Nm
Rear disk=185Nm
307 =210Nm
406 =275 Nm
406 drop link nuts = 40Nm
So all the Haynes torque figures are higher for hub nut, lower for wheel bolt![]()

Re: Peugeot 207 1.6hdi Everything about.
For the above, Matt, have i done my hubnut correct ? The nut size is 36mm and I've seen and found 2 that did 170Nm the r pin slides in just right, if i were to do over 300Nm the gap from pin to nut is very noticeable

Re: Peugeot 207 1.6hdi Everything about.
So later today im going to nip the hubnuts to 325 as i recall each shoulder = 50° , things to do ,brake fluid needs replacing
Timing belt kit in the summer , what ever summer means, rear shocks need checking plus rear brakes need cleaning.
I've rebuilt the complete front suspension , front brakes cleaned rebuilt ,oil seal gearbox driveshaft one. No more leaks. Fluid bag changed dpf cleaned both reset on planet.

Re: Peugeot 207 1.6hdi Everything about.
Good progress already,
The little "hat" that goes on the hub nut = just keep rotating it in different positions, always find one is near enough for the R-clip to go in eventually in my experience.
Brake fluid: "easibleed" thing makes it easier for me, though I mentioned it here previously and one was bought off back of my recommendation - it can be a right faff to get it to seal and played up lots for them!
I'd consider buying a set of bleed nipples ahead of doing the fluid change - almost always rusty stups waiting for you, so nice the be able to swap for new. About £8 for a set of four. Think they'll be M7 or possibly M10 but don't take my word for it

Re: Peugeot 207 1.6hdi Everything about.
Hub nut all done , i worked out the measurement from the 170Nm to my wrench maximum 210Nm then this made it possible to work out the distance left , worked out a shoulder and a quarter of a turn so i thought, I then drove to a well know service center got them to check the tracking & gave them a drink after asking nicely if they could check the hub nut for tightness it was on 320Nm !! Just 5Nm out , even the lad in the garage was impressed he nipped it up to the full spec with a decent size gizmo then gave me the money back id give him for his time . He said they weren't busy and didn't mind helping , all done tracking all good to. Next job brake fluid change .

Bleed nipples? Ah ok. Sorry I'm no help on drum fittings nothing I fiddle with has them (ok, drum in disk on the 406 Coupe but no hydraulics in the drum bit)Huskyxantia wrote: 01 May 2023, 17:41

Might be worth asking Marc on the part numbers thread - quite often some dimension data in the part description

Re: Peugeot 207 1.6hdi Everything about.
Nicely done on the torque "guess" - my torque wrench does up to 250 Nm so I normally just do that plus some more on the breaker bar to follow.
