2012 C4 Grand Picasso Abs, esp, parking brake faults showing

Unread post by Abi08 »

Hi everyone, Can anyone help please:

My 2012 (62 reg) C4 grand Picasso is showing ABS, ESP, and parking brake fault intermittently. Recently I changed the rear brake disk and calipers (as it was very Low). But the problem started way before that. The electronic parking brake can be engaged and disengaged manually by pressing the brake button. I also can hear the hand brake motor working when pressed. When the service light on the hill assists won't work as well.

The thing is when the car is parked on a level surface, the service light and fault lights won't switch on. But when the car is parked on a slopy/inclined road the error codes will come on.

I did a fault reading using Diagbox and got codes C1550 and C1219 U1219.
VIN - VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Please see the attached Daigbox error reading and please help with what needs to be done to resolve these issues.

Many thanks,

Split this off into a separate topic as yours is a different system. It says cable fault, but not sure what that means, is one of them broken or not attached?

Hi Richard,

Can you clear the faults? If you actuate the handbrake, do the cables pull up?

I cleared the faults twice, but when I park the car on a slopy/incline road it will come back again.
