Hi
I've managed to mangle the brittle connectors to my alternator ( 96 571 296 80 bosch 180 Amp) and air cond compressor (9800849780 SD7C16).
Is there a wiring diagram / harness loom pics that show which wires go where and wire colours (just in case) plus any relays / fuses (if any)
regards

Ignore colours - they can change, focus on the wiring codes which are repeated every few inches.
Compressor
2 Pin Black Connector
Pin 1: 8058: Compressor Valve Control
Pin 2: M802A: Earth 802
2 Pin Yellow Connector
Pin 1: 8060: Compressor Control
Pin 2: M802B: Earth 802
Alternator
Alternator (1030)
2 Pin Black Connector
Pin 1: 1087: Alternator excitation command
Pin 2: 104 : Alternator charge info
B01: battery +

Re: 407 hdi 2.7 - wiring diagram / colours for alternator and compressor
One additional question
I take pins 1 and 2 on the female connector are Pin 2 left and pin 1 right when the retaining clip is up the top and looking at the connector
I can vaguely see the numbers in side the old connectors but the replacement are virgin

I'm not sure that's correct from what you are showing in the above diagram - you are reversing them as far as I can see, but without being there and with site of the actual connectors I couldn't be certain.

Marc
some pics which support my version on pin numbering on the female (female spade connectors) plug
Some examples
1. Air compressor clutch - The yellow plug on the compressor clutch is the male one (male spade connectors pins stick out)
The green/yellow wire is M802A (goes to earth point E802) and so Pin 2 is on the top.
So if you slide the female connector black pic #1 into pic #2, pin 2 is on top
2. Alternator wiring pic, the white wire is 104 (pin 2) and the yellow is 1087 (pin 1)

Yes, I can see they've made it even simpler by having sideways facing connectors
Whatever works, but you always have the other end of the wire to check against that connection. Best of luck.
