Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Santa, straight from finishing off the last of his deliveries and bedding down his reindeer visited us at parkrun yesterday and ran it
He was accompanied at all times by his three minders... Such is the state of the world today even Santa has to take precautions to ensure his safety...
Happy Boxing Day one and all

Good morning all
I'm feeling very cheeky today
And I'm very happy because my granddad is well enough to come and see me today and bring me lots of presents
Lots of love from Autumn

This was a friend's dog this morning. As far as he's concerned, he neither knows nor cares what all the fuss was about, he just had a good time

A splash of colour for the results of the formula
n x (n+1) x (n+2) ÷ 6 where n=days of Christmas for 1 to 30 days

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Interesting you should mention Triangular and Tetrahedral numbers in the linked thread above Neil...
And here's a potential and rather tenuous coincidence - on Saturday I'll be officiating at the Bury Field parkrun, the 56th event for this particular parkrun. Many parkrunners choose their parkrun based on the event number... There's parkrunners who play bingo with the event numbers and others visit a specific parkrun when the event number is a Fibonacci Sequence for instance, as Bury Field was last week. Others look at other number sequences - it's endless...
When I'm officiating I always like to look at the upcoming event number to see if there's anything special about it and I find 56 is the sum of the first six Triangular numbers...

One of the threads which has had a bit of activity today so far has been

e-coal for heritage steam locomotives also cropped up which led to this absolute icon of the North Bay Railway, which is not quite what it seems, but has faked it since the 1930's, fooled me in the 1960's, and in 2016 until I asked the silly question of the driver!
