Re: C4 Picasso - engine bay shock absorbers
Like most people on this thread, i've been searching for the bushes for the extenders and i 'might' have come up trumps from a german supplier - Handler Autoparts.
I'll admit ive had to take a punt as there is no picture but the part number is the same as on the first page - they cost 5 euros each but ive had to take a hit on delivery - £25 (thankyou very much Brexit!!)
I'll post back and let you know what i get back (or delete this post with my tail between my legs!!)

The last time I checked, Greece was still in the EU and the shipping charges are similar for shipping to another Island country - €25 - €27 for a €5 Euro order.....

Well it seems my optimism was short lived, got a message from them stating that the piece has been replaced by the full unit at a cost of 130 euros a side. Looks like theres no way around it!!

It's annoying I know, but what about here:
https://www.accessoires-specialiste-cit ... 97147.html
They are showing as available within a few days?

Re: C4 Picasso - engine bay shock absorbers
Are the 2 extension arm bushes actually different? I was under the car the other day changing the sub frame bush (pain in the arse that was) and while under there removed the sub frame extensions and i'm pretty sure i switched the extension bushes to see if it resolved the knocking issue. They seemed to switch ok. One bush was definitely in better condition than the other but they looked very much the same.
The only reason i ask is because when i do a search on the other bush part number, its not on that site and wondering if i should just order 2 and see what i get back.......
edit: look like that site doesn't deliver to the UK! Damn!

Yes they are, see my post here:

There's a left and right hand one for items (16) & (17) and the part numbers are different. If they were the same they would have the same part number.

Re: C4 Picasso - engine bay shock absorbers
I know this is very late but hopefully may help someone who comes across this forum. Today 8th Oct 2023 Was the day that I had too change the from Lower wishbones on my MK2 2016 GP 2.0. before doing so I read and researched a lot. Here is my personal findings. Obviously to get access to the front control arm bolt (18mm) I had too remove the front extension arms. To do this I found it so much easier too slacken the front bumper to the extent it could be moved forward by about 4”. To do this I removed the upper slam panel under the bonnet, very easily removed and then the 3x 10mm bolts. After having removed both inner fender liners I removed the Wing/bumper brackets. 1x10mm bolt and a pull down. This allowed the bumper to be moved forward and gave easy access too remove the Front lower bumper shield. This was slightly fiddly but with patience and care it was easily removed. Once this shield had been removed I personally pushed the bumper rearwards and replaced the middle 10mm bolt for security. Now it cam too removing the front covers both sides covering the back of the Extension arms. 3bolts each side. then you get access to the arm securing bolts. Removed and I found my arms to be the new versions with integrated rubber bushes. Turned the too unlock and removed. After this it was a simple process of undoing the 21mm Nut of the lower ball joint. Using your own method of detaching the ball joint. I had new ball joints and so we used a fork seperator. Then remove the 2x18mm bolts on the lower wishbone and Re can then remove the old wish one. All in all taking my time and having regular breaks from laying on a barn floor it took a little over six hours.

Re: C4 Picasso - engine bay shock absorbers
What are these extension arms even for? Might be a dumb question but having to buy 150€ extension arms instead of 5€ bushings makes me ask stupid questions. Also surprised there are no aftermarket bushings available.
