Electrical Question

Unread post by Doo »

Hi folks, re my 2012 Citroën Berlingo ehdi.

The rear load area has a 12v socket, but it's dead until the igniting is on. Can I use diagbox to tell the BSI to switch it to permanently live?

Thanks.
Has anyone seen the plot? :?

No, it's ignition switched.

I knew that :-D But I imagine that I'll have to run a new wire from the fuse box.

OK. Ta :)

There may be a more convenient live feed intended for a trailer interface.

I'm so dim some days... I fitted a tow bar & electrics (13 pin) and didn't do it the Citroen way (was quoted an arm and three legs  ) so I got a smart relay and did the dirty deed. I tow a trailer and a caravan regularly, so I know they work.

Looks like I'll mostly be drilling a hole and filling it with a 12v socket then. Thanks for waking up my dozy brain

Reason is, I bought a mag mounted LED spot and it'll be great for winter loading, hitching, chainsawing fallen tree's and such.
