U1F3E 87 and U1F18 88 errors.

Unread post by Paul-R »

These errors were logged and cleared s part of my Adblue problem but have nothing to do with it. But I'm curious as to what it means. The print-out is not very helpful.

Those faults are to do with the CAN network (s). I can't be specific but on my aircross they relate to:

U1F3E 87: Touch screen: Absence of communication with the telematic unit
U1F18 88: Touch screen not communicating on the multimedia CAN

Thanks Marc. This ties in with some other error messages that are temporary faults. They don't seem to cause any practical problems though.

The main part of the code (first 5 alphanumeric) is a communications fault and can relate to a lot of systems, the last 2 digits are unit specific. It may during the diagnostic test that it is being thrown up as can happen with some ECUs, or energy saving mode or similar.
