Original: Fail. Don't know anything by them except an association by the lead singer's duet with Polly Harvey.
Sixties: 3 seconds :)
Seventies: Fail. Know nothing at all of them other than the name used elsewhere.
Eighties: Five Seconds, one of may favourites, mainly for the sax.

The daily exercise

I'll call that 87½% today :-D

Original Heardle https://www.spotify.com/heardle/ 16 secs with a bit of finding out. Not a track of theirs I had heard.
60's heardle, https://www.60s.heardledecades.com/ 5 seconds
70's heardle, https://www.70s.heardledecades.com/ 2 seconds
80's heardle https://heardle80s.com/ 2 seconds

Nice to play the tracks through...if you like them of course.

Sixties: Five Seconds.

Don't like it, hate all this Baby Baby crap.
I blame Americans.

Seventies: Nope

Eighties: No chance. Only heard one of their songs.

5 secs for the 60s and the rest a total blank and I'm not in the slightest sad about that! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

The daily exercise

I'll call that 50% today :-D Why did the 60's and 70's have the most memorable introductions :?: Maybe with the 60's the songs were shorter and they just got on with it :-D

Original Heardle https://www.spotify.com/heardle/
60's heardle, https://www.60s.heardledecades.com/
70's heardle, https://www.70s.heardledecades.com/
80's heardle https://heardle80s.com/

In order today went, Original Fail (2016..little chance there) 60's (2 secs), 70's (2 secs) 80's (Fail but really come on Heardle80's an obscure song that only fans will have heard of, way out of character for the band and a ridiculously long lead in)

here endeth my 20,000th post on the FCF, not my best, that was post number 19,998 viewtopic.php?p=723220#p723220

Usual story for me today, instantaneous recognition of the 60s and no idea about the rest! :-D

Fail. Have tried one or two of her songs and they are not for me.

Sixties:
Recognise the tune but unable to name it or the artist.
Unsurprising as I don't like him or his music at all.

Seventies:
No. Another crew that has failed to gain my attention. Sure this was used previously fairly recently.

Eighties:
To complete the set, another no. Only heard one of their songs that I would recognise. Tried others but they don't engage me in the slightest.

70s passed me by
60s instant recognition from one of my favourites of the time :-D

The daily exercise,

I'll call that 75% today :-D would have been 100% with the original heardle, if the "2018 remaster" with its overlong percussion amendment, had not been selected by Heardle, and the 1983 Original had been used. :-D I dont mind even longer, intros if they are in the upper echelons of the best ever eg Status Quo's "Down Down".

Original Heardle https://www.spotify.com/heardle/
60's heardle, https://www.60s.heardledecades.com/
70's heardle, https://www.70s.heardledecades.com/
80's heardle https://heardle80s.com/

In order today went, Original Fail (as explained) 60's (2 secs), 70's (2 secs) 80's (2 secs)

Probably would have taken longer in normal circumstances but with unbeatable performances already logged for 60/70/80, eventually sang my way to the title of the 80's one, and the room provided the 70's straight away before I could even think about it!

https://www.heardle.app/
Nope. Don't recall hearing that before and would have turned it off during the 16".

Sixties:
https://www.60s.heardledecades.com/
2" and a song I dislike intensely.

Seventies:
https://www.70s.heardledecades.com/
Another one I have never heard

Eighties:
https://heardle80s.com/
Another one never heard of previously.
Heard the band name but no more.

Idle curiosity here Steve, is it the song, the singer or both that causes the intensity? :?:

The song. There are other songs that she sings that are tolerable.

Not difficult to beat the Falcon today slipped back to

25% Today three fails, and only the memorable first 2 second intros so prevalent in the 1960's to rescue today's effort from a total wipeout.

Original Heardle https://www.spotify.com/heardle/ 2001...don't original Heardle realise that's a decade and a year outside my comfort zone.
60's heardle, https://www.60s.heardledecades.com/ 2 secs a very nice pop song with a straight to the point intro.
70's heardle, https://www.70s.heardledecades.com/ not a great fan, but faffing around for more than 17 seconds without a vocal gave me no chance, although fans will probably get it at 2 seconds
80's heardle https://heardle80s.com/ I had the artists (without knowing it at 2 seconds) and extremely disappointed at the reveal after the full 17 seconds, that it turned out to be artists in my own personal stable of favoured musicians, and I am more than familiar with the track.
