Hope I am requesting the following in the right place....
Could you provide a part number for a n/s rear shock absorber for my C5X7 Vin No: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
Thanks
The shockers are not sided. Original part no was 527292 but has now been superseded to 527299 which is £211.84 inc VAT

Thanks for that Marc. I've found a new item on ebay for £185 from Poland that I am considering.

@PeeBee, @Husky

As long as it's a genuine Citroen strut, nothing wrong with getting it from Poland as a lot of them are made over there for Citroen. I bought my front strut from a Polish seller (all genuine Citroen boxed) and saved a packet on the UK retail price. I got Citroen to fit only for me and they wouldn't do that if the part wasn't genuine. :wink:

I have to agree with Marc, I bought almost all my C5 parts from Poland including ac compressor, brake discs and pads., alternator, exhaust back section and many smaller parts. I've never had a problem other than one set of discs and pads where they sent the rears and I had ordered the fronts, swapped over immediately and the replacements arrived 2 days after the originals when I had only just despatched the return.! :)

My experience was waiting 4 months for 2 outer sills that didnt even leave poland due to the brexit stuff ... This was almost 16mnt after brexit, im also well into buying genuine parts at much cheaper prices , even more now a days, ive purchased drive shafts from poland 7 yr ago there still as good as they were back then rubber boot wise no perishing at all.

Marc, the diagram of the door lock mechanism & handle for ,my 307sw a bit above ,would it be possible that the little lever on the handle or mechanism could possible be slightly miss shaped and causing the opening of the catch to not do as it should ? If a slight tweak to either part is possible do you think it would make the handle open the door as it should, i take it the levers on these parts are metal , would you know if they are ?
