Hi I have a y reg boxer, 2001 1.9td . Looking for a part for my gear box but not having much luck. Looking for the gear box cover(rear cover/casing)but can't find one anywhere. Mine is very rusted and flaky and appears to be leaking(maybe) defo have a leak fyom somewhere i suspect gear box as bottom is oily but so is above further up.Any suggestions on where to look for the part or source of leak? Also Was this box used on others vans that I could modify my search results for? What gear box is it on my van?
would a 2.2 cap fit? Or is it a different gear box.
Cheers

Would really need your VIN or reg to check what gearbox is fitted to your van.
I take it they are no longer available from Peugeot?

OK you have an ML5T gearbox
There is one on ebay just now
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224799133524 ... media=COPY
Failing that your best bet may be someone that does gearbox repairs, they may have some scrap boxes.

Re: Peugeot boxer gearbox end case
Thats the part number based on your VIN, i suppose the part could be labelled up wrongly but it certainly looks like the parts diagram picture.
Has the gearbox ever been replaced that you know of?

Yes thats the VIN i used from your reg. Thats certainly the part it lists for your van however its not unknown for servicebox to be wrong on the ofd occasion. Is your van a 5 or 6 speed gearbox?
Its listed as a 5 speed but the flat end casings are often found in 6 speed boxes.
Do you have a picture of your gearbox?

Re: Peugeot boxer gearbox end case
Going by your picture i’d say that looks like the right part to me?
Maybe get the seller to measure it but is the correct part number listed for your van.
