2010 Peugeot 2.0 hdi 150 bhp with a problem

Post by rayc21 »

Hi all.
After a long while looking I decided to jump in with both feet :-) :-D

Any mechanically minded people on here that can assist me please.
I recently purchased a 10 plate 3008 2.0 hdi 150 that had been sat 2 years in a garage due to "Injector issues".
When it arrived one injector (No.1) had been removed. So I bought an injector, injector pipe etc and put it together.
Started the car and it knocked and banged and smoked out of the exhaust profusely (unburnt fuel).
Scanned with snap on number 3 also had an issue. ( Pulse readings for 1,2,4 were 255m/s on injector and 75 on number 3).
Replaced number 3 today along with new leak off pipe as it was leaking 🙂 and started the car. (Injectors not yet programmed). Car ran slightly better but still knocked and banged and smoked. Checked injector pulse times again and number 3 is now 85ms.
Do the 2 litres suffer wiring / ecu issues? Am I missing something simple like non programming of injectors can cause the issue?
I know some relay vans suffer a "misfire" on idle on number 3 so am now scratching my noggin to work my next course of action 🙂
I assume 78m/s means its over fuelling or is 255 m/s overfuelling? Meaning all injectors are shot 🙂
I cannot find any information on the www that explains
Any advice will be gratefully received
Thank you kindly

The very first thing I would do is check to see if the replacement injector needs coding in (probably) and do it. Then see how it runs.

I will be doing that when I can borrow a machine to do it.
However, inj 1 uncoded reads same as other original injectors on pulse time but injector 3 was reading 75ms and now reads 85 ms with a replacement injector that is also uncoded.

Hence my thinking it may be something else causing the issue #-o

Found the issue!
It was the pressure valve on the HP pump

Changed and it runs as sweet as anything

Just got a P1600 code (configuration not complete) that wont go away

Excellent news.

The error code will have to be identified by someone else but maybe it's the injector needing to be coded in?

I have coded the injectors in. However, I cannot initialise them (Possibly due to the P1600 code?)

Another one to sort :-D
