Blinking Interior ambient light

Hello,

I have a flashing interior orange light whenever I turn sidelights or headlights on. Its an ambient light that illuminates the small storage area below the heating controls. It will illuminate dim but then flash on and off brighter at 1 second intervals as soon as I turn the exterior lights on, dims and stops flashing again when I turn them off.

All exterior lights are working, any thoughts on what it might be? It's rather annoying driving at night.

Just to add, if I have the interior dashboarr light brightness on the lowest setting when exterior lights are on, the blinking stops (the light stays on solid), however as soon as I notch the brightness up it'll blink on full brightness).

It's certainly not designed to flash as that would be a distraction. I suspect it is failing or faulty.

Hello, I am having the same problem.
The strange thing is that the blinking is regular in 1 second cycles.
I don't think this would happen with just a broken bulb or bad contact.

Or does anyone know the part number to replace it?
I think it is 6362AE, but there is too little information.

That is the ambience lamp, but it's a complete module, so there is no bulb and needs to be replaced as a whole module. It's not cheap either at just under UK £90!

Do you know the serial number of that module? And could be that modulo the reason for the foowell lights are off?

Was the footwell lights. changed and is fix.
