DS5 Cooling Fan on Constantly

Post by JimDude »

Hello all.
The 2 speed cooling fan on my DS5 2013 2.0 HDi has started to run constantly even after turning off the engine.
Yesterday it was still running 1 hour after turn off.
I have had to disconnect the fan to prevent running down the battery.
Ok for now but I'll need it working in the hot weather (if we get any).
I was thinking possibly a faulty temperature sensor somewhere.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello again.
Turned out to be the fan airflow thermostat/resistor locatated on the fan housing if it's any help to anyone.
I got to it by removing the front under tray.
Otherwise you have to take off the front bumper.
£90 from Citroen. £18 from Amazon. Works perfectly.

Are you meaning the engine cooling fan or the climate control fans? Because if that is the part £18 isn't bad at all and it might be what i need for DS4

It's the thermostat on the engine cooling fan in front of the radiator.
