Boxer 4HU Injector problem

Post by frosty125 »

So I have just done an engine swap and it sounds like it's down a cylinder.

Injectors 1 and 4 were remanufactured units from PFJ injectors 2 and 3 were tested and passed but it looks like number 2 might now be dead. Flow correction is constantly 15mm3

Why dont you swap the suspected faulty injector with another one & see if the fault moves to a different cylinder? that will confirm that its the injector at fault & not a wiring or ECU issue.
Remember if doing this to alter the injector coding accordingly.

Done this but now I'm not getting correction values on the diag for some reason.

EDIT Still do not have the correction values up but I did run the diagnostic test of disabling one injector at a time and the issue is still cylinder 2 despite swapping the injectors over.

I wonder what it might be.

Did you swap the injector codings for the two injectors?

Any tips on testing the electrical connection?

I'm trying to find the pin on the connector side. Which I believe is in the 32NV connector but not sure how to locate the correct pin. Not looking at the diagram now but it's something like G2 or H4 but the connector only has 1 to 32 on it.

I tested the injector cable with a test lamp and it is working. I swapped C1 and C2 injectors again. Still have the issue with C2. A bit lost with what it could. The injectors work and there is a signal from the cable.
