Hi Paul,
Yeah, to be honest £180 (2x Dealer Diagnosis) is a small price to pay considering by now i would have spent over around £2k in not-needed repairs! Although i was a little disappointed when i rang them a few months ago to ask for a part number & they refused to give it me! ..the time before i never had an issue when asking for part number for a boot strut, I didn't realise that they don't give out part numbers!?GiveMeABreak wrote: ↑14 Apr 2022, 11:38 Thanks for the update. In most cases you'll find the dealer should be better equipped in both diagnostic equipment and training for their own vehicles which is why they are more expensive as they have to train all the staff continually on new models, new systems and have to have the latest diagnostic kit on lease.
In this case it definitely looks like they have potentially saved you a lot of money. A diagnostic is always the first place to start, but has to be balanced and factored in with real-world knowledge of the systems as there can be a knock-on cause and effect from other systems that can trigger faults that may not be directly to a specific bit of hardware. If you get a good dealer that you are happy with, stick with them.
Yes, I know of them, they're a Kia dealer. Maybe they have someone on the staff who was Citroen trained but they aren't a Citroen dealer. Even if one of the mechanics is Citroen trained would he/she still have access to the PSA servers?tizdaz wrote: ↑14 Apr 2022, 20:59Hi Paul,

I rang citroen in wrexham stoneacre and they said wallasey was more near me so booked me into there? The paperwork/reciept etc looks exactly same as it did when i had my 1st diagnosis at wrexham and they also gave me a link to the video inspection of my car which wqs same as they did in wrexham?Paul-R wrote: ↑14 Apr 2022, 22:09Yes, I know of them, they're a Kia dealer. I suppose it depends on who is paying for all this. To me, without further positive information this could just be another intermediary who will have to pass on to a higher level.
