Reason is that I am changing the rear hydractive unit for a refurbished one that is derived from the front item. They are identical parts but have a few different fittings Eg. the rear hydractive unit has a bleed nipple, the front has a blanking screw. The rear has a block-like manifold fitted to allow the two rear accumulators to fit. I really want to know if the damper valves inside the unit at each side are different from the fronts. I measured the front dampers and they have a center hole of about 1.8mm diameter. The rear ones might actually be the same. They are on the XM (1.25mm front and rear) but they might be different as they are on Xantia Hydractive (1.1mm front, 1.3mm rear). I was hoping to have the dampers already in place before it is transplanted in due course because I am painting the unit for rust protection.
I'm also semi interested in how soft the dampers on the C5 are compared to the XM/ Xantia equivalent.
Really, also I just like giving Marc a servicebox work out
