Adaptive cruise control
Hi from Greece. I have Renault grand scenic automatic 7/2019 with Active Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection lane departure warning and lane keep assist , but with simple cruise control, can you tell me how I upgrade it to adaptive cruise control? Thanks

Re: Adaptive cruise control
I don't think we have that level of expertise for Renault specifically but if the system is at all similar to that on PSA vehicles then it is really a viable option. You would need so many extra pieces (radar, possibly another ECU, possibly even a different main processing unit) that it would be too expensive.

I think Paul meant to say was 'not really a viable option'.
Systems like this are heavily integrated into the vehicle at the factory and require the correct wiring harness, level of BSI, hardware and software. It's not something you can upgrade to.

Re: Adaptive cruise control
Some vehicles use a combination of radar and cameras, some just use cameras for some of the functions. But you will find it may be a different ECU version is needed and / or different equipment for the additional function.
