Unread post by piki »

So i got some water spiled on top of my dash from gf cup, and i thing it went doen to the panel control , now the reverse sensors are not working , also the speakers do not work, rest of the stuff are working as usual.

You'll probably have to disconnect the battery (follow the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure) and then remove the head unit. Clean all spills up from the sockets and connectors thoroughly before reconnecting the battery and hope that the spill has not shorted out or damaged anything permanently.

There's a lesson there drinks and dashboards = :lazer:

This is basically saying that the BSI has been configured incorrectly. Your vehicle has reverse parking sensors, but the BSI has been coded as these being absent, so there is an issue. You need to set the correct option in the BSI to enable rear only.

No problems, thanks for your donation. If you have any official parts requests, just create a post in this thread:

viewtopic.php?t=69962

The BSI can't adjust it's configuration on its own. It has to be as a result of a replacement part that is configured for a previous vehicle or a setting has inadvertently been changed in the BSI or one of the other configuration menus.

You'll need to run a global test and then select the BSI near the top, select this and then select configuration / manual configuration and then look down each section until you find the Parking Assistance or Obstacle Detection and see what it is set to. If it needs changing, select the parameter, confirm and then make sure that the option for the rear parking assistance is selected, then press the cog wheels to confirm the change.
