93 205 1.1 carb starting probs

hi,
gota 93 205 1.1 carb, running ok, then suddenly wouldnt start.
changed plugs/leads/cap/rotorarm, still no start. took plug off to see spark, spark seen on 1st engine revolution, then nothing. swapped coil for new, same. it already has a new ingition module. I am stumped???? any ideas please!!!!!! Its for me missus!!!!

Is the rotor arm going round?

OK then, what about power to the ignition module? If you have replaced and checked everything from there onwards, are you sure the ignition is getting power?

Turned out it was the ignition module at fault.
Reason I didn't suspect it was
a) there was power to it
b) I got a hv dc reading from the centre ht lead
c) the module was just replaced 4 mths ago by previous owner/garage
after I replaced the obvious bits, gave it to my local garage who tested the module for me and said it was faulty. They also said it was bone dry, ie the last garage hadn't applied the silicone grease to the mating surface (which protects it from excess heat) and subsequently cooked it!!!!! Well I never!!!
Have you heard of anythong like that!

Well my ignition module failed just after I had passed a line of 7 cars. I subsequently had to pull in and suffer monumental humiliation!
Did you get your money back from the original fitment?
