Just joined and hope I'm posting in right place and maybe someone can help? My 2013 DS5 has a lot moisture in the front left indicator and keeps blowing bulbs 4 so far in a few months. I have tried to remove it to see if it can be sealed or if not replaced but can't see how to remove it. I've removed the screw under the cover on the outside and can see a clip inside. I've looked at replacements and they seem to have a lip at the front as if the unit would come out (without removing the bumper) but despite torches and mirrors I can't see another fixing but don't want to force it. Anyone know if it comes out or if you need to remove the bumper?
Also it has halogen headlamps and while main beam is great dipped is woeful! So bad that we've taken to following other cars on unlit roads as it feels so dangerous! The bulbs work and are Osram branded so should be OK. Lamp housings look in good condition.
Any help gratefully received.

Re: DS5 front nearside indicator and dipped headlights
I think when these start to fail with water ingress, you'll need a replacement. Resealing rarely ever works. I had the same on my X7 fog units, tried to reseal twice and the next day full of condensation.
When refitting the fog lamp it's a partial bumper off as the units are under the headlamp, but the indicator bulb is generally able to be replaced from underneath the vehicle after taking off the deflector. The fog bulb is more difficult, hence the partial bumper removal to get to it.
The killer is high pressure washer jets weakening the seals.

Hi Marc, thanks for your reply. Changing the bulb is fine but getting the indicator out is my problem.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that as a result of all that blurb I wrote, I omitted to say I think it will be the same to get the unit out - partial bumper off.

OK thanks for your replies. Not sure when I'll manage to look at it again.

Re: DS5 front nearside indicator and dipped headlights
Hi, tried again to remove the indicator and think I've found another fixing but unsure as to what the head is? Looks like a torx with a slot. I managed to get a picture (that I hope is attached) Any help much appreciated

Re: DS5 front nearside indicator and dipped headlights
That IS a combination Torx/Slot screwhead. You could use either a Torx screwdriver (probably a T10) or a blade screwdriver to undo it. HP/Compaq use them in a lot of their PCs.

Hi many thanks for your reply. I tried a torx and slot but not a T10. Hopefully I can get it loose but its very tricky access.

Re: DS5 front nearside indicator and dipped headlights
Hi, just an update. Got 2nd fixing out and then indicator came out no problem without and bodywork removed. It was separating along its length so easy for water to get in. Cleaned it thoroughly let it dry for a few days then sealed the joint with clear silicone. Back in car for nearly 3 months and all good so far. Also after reading post about headlamp bulbs not seated right it checked these and what a difference. Car just passed mot so lights must be OK.
