I enjoyed this. Very informative without having to read a lot of dry prose, nice pics and images. Always liked the Princess. We were probably the ideal candidates to have one seeing as we had gone through about 3 Austin 1800's and an Austin 2200 in the 60's early 70's , but after that the next car was a SAAB 99, and we went through a series of SAAB's as the car of choice.

I liked the wedge design, but the BMC Pininfarina Concept in yellow was a thing of beauty too

Would have made an excellent estate car. I preferred the Ambassador for its tailgate but the Princess was a lovely, cumfy mileage eater with prams, suitcases and travel cots on board.

I see this is the same series of videos which Mick posted up an example of the Citroen XM story on.

Having mentioned the evolution of car choice, and a phase of Austin Landcrabs being superseded by a series of SAAB's starting with a Saab 99, time for another personal nostalgic wallow on a slow so far FCF day for new content.

Nice find Steve and a subject of great local interest to me, although the ad for Amazon whatever in the middle sent me to sleep.

Here's a couple of pics from one of our days out to Tanfield Railway.

It is unforgivable that I live so close but have never been there, not even to Causey Arch.
I had no inkling of the history either.
I just skip the blurb for audiobooks, I can't listen to them anyway.

There is even a railway museum a couple of miles from me. Pass it regularly but never visited.

I was amused to see that the video was posted just today.

Nice little "four candles" homage on the blackberry here from Messrs Corbett and Enfield

I came across this video of a show I used to love. We didn't have ITV on our TV in those days so I used to go into our nextdoor neighbour's house on a Saturday evening to see this show!! :-D

I saw a few of those but didn't relate it to a real person until much more recently.

Casey Jones, prompted by the following songs.

I knew of the events but not many of the finer details - the dates for one.

Simon's post about the demise of the Bollinger B1 on the Electric Cars: what's available? thread reminded me of another electric car build which also was very square and also met its demise: :-D
