Hi! New here :)

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

Hi! New here :)

Hi
Image

I am new to this forum, and happy to be here!

We now own 2 Citroen C6's, both from 2006/ 2.7Hdi, dark gray. We bought the first out of love for this car, it was my husband's dream for the last 10 years or so...We bought the second because we are officially crazy :))

The first one, Maudette, is in fairly good condition, well maintained over the years and doesn't seem to be abused. It had 142.500km on when we bought it at the end of September, now we are getting close to 150.000.

The second one is Xavier, yet to be determined if it's a dud or not. We secretly call him "kinderegg" as it can have big surprises for us... and most likely not in the good way.

Xavier is having some issues with the gearbox (or the torque converter, or valve block who knows...) but we knew this from the very beginning, it was cheap/high risk buy... Also had around 143.000km.

Hi, and :welc: to the Forum. Not many people have a C6, but you have a brace of them (which is very bracing!). If you have not already done so you might want to get a Lexia to help with any fault diagnosis. Although a decent Lexia can cost around £100 the amount you can save on diagnostic visits to a garage can easily be more than that. Oh, and you are not crazy; you love the C6 (Roger Dudding owns 24 Aston Martin Lagondas; now THAT is crazy!).

Hi and :welc: from me too.

I would have loved a C6 before the climate crisis brought my decision to dispense with diesel. I test drove one in 2006 and fell in love with it but I never had the budget available when they were still newish. I would still love one now if I had the storage space to keep it out of the weather but I don't so I have to be sensible!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
