Re: On TV...
Quel Surprise! F1 is full of hooks, crooks and one armed jugglers. I have long since stopped believing in Fair Play and Sportmanship in Motorsport. In fact, since I resigned as a Scrutineer. Whole other story, but lets just say that favoured teams get favoured treatment - stuff the rules that we are supposed to administer.

Re: On TV...
RB and Merc back in Stewards Room for 3rd time. Can't wait to see the official explanation. Especially since the FIA have just tweeted that Max is world champion

Re: On TV...
It may end up in Switzerland yet. Depends on the bean counters at Daimler Benz as to how far Mercedes F1 is allowed to go in terms of "public perception"

Re: On TV...
Thats a bit cloudy bobins. The next step would be the FIA court of appeal which must be heard before the prize giving banquet on Thursday. They would more than likely simply uphold the stewards decision. After that I believe there is an international court of Sporting something or other which would mean an ongoing saga amd I doubt if Mercedes will want that. So the heavily laden soprano may not be far away!!

Re: On TV...
Toto already was considering his, Lewis gave a slight hint in the interview earlier when asked, "go again next year?" and he replied "we'll see". I may get inside info on Lewis' plans when we next see Carmen, However suppose Mercedes consider their withdrawal and the resulting gap in engine provision for the other teams? Hmmmm!

Re: On TV...
See what I mean about the machinations of F1. Now, didn't someone write a novel about the machinations of the the French Carrossiers in the 1950s. Wish I could find that book.

Re: On TV...
Now. Been reading about Michael Latifi, Nicolas's father. Apparently he wanted to buy Williams but was beaten off by the appearance of Dorilton despite his already significant Sofina sponsorship. I wonder where Michael will put his sponsorship now Nicolas is out of F1?

Re: On TV...
Didn't Mercedes supply Williams the engines for Russell and Latifi? The ones Dorilton were happy with.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑12 Dec 2021, 19:46 Toto already was considering his, Lewis gave a slight hint in the interview earlier when asked, "go again next year?" and he replied "we'll see".
