Engine oil and Gearbox Oil

Post by cs101 »

Hi! Please can you recommend which Engine oil specification is required for my van VIN VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] and does it need Gearbox oil change (Manual) and if so which specification is required. It has done almost 116,000 miles. Want to do the service myself now. Thanks

Ok, as for engine oil the official oil for the DV6FCU engine is and for UK based vehicles:

0W30

The PSA Standard is B71 2312.

For the gearbox from your build date, the PSA recommended oil is TOTAL TRANSMISSION HBVFE2 75W

Great Britain is in Zone A on the following Engine Oil guide: Just go down until you find the tables under Zona 'A' and then your engine (DV6FCU) and you will see the oil I've listed above.

That's exactly the correct gear oil for our manual boxes.
