I have a little movement on my x7 front wheels. Having had it off the ground it appears to be from part 14 in this pic.
Anyone had experience of this failing and does anyone have part numbers?
Thanks,
Stu.

Re: Play on front wheels
I take it you've ruled out the bush from my picture above off the other thread then? If so, and you think it's the suspension ball joint (14), then that will be part number:
364069 for the OEM Citroen part £160.94
or
1682730080 for the Citroen-approved cheaper alternative £91.08
Prices as of today direct from Citroen, VAT inclusive.

Re: Play on front wheels
Had a quick look this morning while having some new tyres fitted. It does look like the ball joint rather than the bush, but I will do a more thorough check before ordering parts. Shame as the bush replacement looks like it involves much less swearing than the ball joint.
Found some Febi Bilstein ones online though which are a bit cheaper: https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/febi-bilstein/7106582

Also found these on ebay, but that may be going a bit far for an important suspension component.

If you can, stick to decent branded parts if you can or it may end in tears.

I agree. I'm happy with the febi but the 20 quid no-name Ebay ones i'll ignore i think. A bit TOO dodgy for a part that keeps me on the road.

Replaced one last week on one of my C6's. It's a doddle with a long power bar and an angle grinder!
Give me a shout if you need someone to do it for you.
I also replaced bush arrowed by Marc as a preventative measure. Again easy done with the right bush removal tool.
I did 500 miles on that broken one when I collected the car

Re: Play on front wheels
Thanks Mike, it doesn't look too bad to do. Ironically, they missed it completely on the MOT. Got the Joints and bushes so I'll have a play anyway when I'm off next week.
They did however mess up my suspension but I'll start a new thread for that.

No worries Stu.
I can't believe they missed it! It's one of the most basic checks to do on the MOT. They've clearly had it jacked up by the hight corrector error you had/have.. Makes you wonder what else they missed!
