Not a joke, but does the windscreen wash still work? I believe it may share the same fuse as the rear door locks.

OK, so not the fuse (mind you, it could be worth looking in the handbook to see what fuse does manage the rear door locks, and then checking it). I have nothing further to suggest, but I feel certain others will.

On a Peugeot Partner van I had (work related), I was silly enough to try and use the screen wash in cold weather. The nozzles were frozen, so the motor struggled for a few moments, then the fuse blew. Later that day I tried to get into the back of the van, and the doors were locked (despite me pressing the related fob button; the cargo doors are separate from the cab doors). I found that the screen wash and the rear doors shared the same fuse, and replacing it (10a, I believe) got the locks working again (which is why I asked about the screen wash).

Need to get the door panel off first & check auctuators & rods moving as they should. From there we can hopefully narrow down if its an electrical or mechanical issue.
Can you hear anything happening inside the door when you operate the central locking remote.
Is there a lock barrel on the door? If it wont unlock with that then it’s likely a mechanical issue.

That is a latch to secure the relevant rear door. Try moving it to the other position, and see if you can open the door. As far as I know it does not have any electrical connections. If something fell against it while that door was closed it could have moved to to the 'locked' position, so the door could not be opened from the outside.
