Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
@podman Have you progressed with your problem? I can't really offer any suggestions but I have a few questions that may help someone else answer you.
Was the screen black with the previous RT5 unit? Is it still the same screen or have you fitted the screen that came with the RT6 unit?

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Hi guys,
I have the following issue with my RT6:
Two weeks ago the first involuntary reboots of the RT6 began during my vacation in France. At first only sporadically, but then more and more often.
Back at home I removed and dismantled my RT6 and connected the SD card to the laptop: 3 partitions including the directory structure were visible, but I could not make a backup of the partitions. Diagnosis: SD card broken.
So I put everything back together and then tried using the mirascripts to pull a complete backup onto a USB stick. Unfortunately it also failed.
Then I found this forum and "fought" my way through the entire thread up to this point. By the way: very competent and extensive information here, thank you very much. I have already donated
What I have learned so far, based on my situation:
- I need a new SD card, ideally 16 GB
- For a minimally invasive repair without a visit to the Peugeot dealer, the same software (according to the radio diagnosis "RNEG2.75.C.5", i.e. 2.75?) should be installed. Marc, could you please send me a link as a PM?
further questions:
- I can't avoid a visit at the Peugeot dealer and let them import my configuration, can I?
- Do the navigation maps have to be imported so that the rest of the RT6 works? I have a separate TomTom sticked to the windscreen for years because I think the prices that Peugeot calls for current cards are a joke.
Have I considered everything so far or what do I still have to take care of before the big operation?
Thanks in advance!

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
It's highly likely, but not certain that you may need a dealer visit to have the unit configured to your vehicle and all its options. This was almost certain with the 2.86 version. If the card is toast and not allowing you to recover the data, then it's also possible the configuration may not be saved for your vehicle, so the same may happen with 2.75.
Unfortunately I think version 2.75 may have been a factory-only installed firmware version, so I don't have this file as it wasn't released as an update. I have 2.77 which you should be able to flash the system with. Normally V 2.75 to V2.77 wouldn't require a dealer visit, but this assumes this is a normal update and without issues with the existing card.
Let me know if you want the V2.77 and I'll send you a PM.

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Unfortunately I waited too long with the backup, but on vacations I usually don't have Torx 6 (7?) Bits at hand
So, my advice to the community: as soon as your RT6 does strange things or reboots, try to backup your system with the help of Mirascript (just search the web for the keywords "mirascript" and "altervista"), before your SD- Card is totally cactus.

Yes, I will take the V2.77; thanks!

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Have you checked in the parking assistance ECU parameters?
If it's not there, then it may be some other setting that has been lost during the swap over, that may not be available via Diagbox.

Ok, I don't have that specific BSI configuration sheet for the mid life DS5, so can't see the specific options unfortunately.

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Hi folks,
In the meantime I have changed the SD card in the RT6 to a SanDisk Ultra with 16 GByte.
Then I unzipped Marc's 2.77 ISO (thanks again!) To a USB stick and burned it to CD.
To make it short: the installation always breaks off with "error during flasher loading".
But one after anonther:
1. Restart the RT6 with the CD inserted: "CRC Media Checking" for approx. 5 minutes on the display.
2. "Flasher loading" (10 sec.)
3. "InitSoft" (1 sec.)
4. "Disk check" (5 sec, then CD ejection)
5. "error durign flasher loading" ... "Product restart in 5..4..3 ... s".
The next attempts always start at point 2 and end at 5.
Differences in the experimental set-ups:
- Downloaded ISO again
- ISO burned with 2 different burning programs at the slowest speed
- Formatted the USB stick and unpacked the ISO again.
My questions now:
- the SD card is possibly unsuitable (too big or too fast )
- Can I not upgrade from the initial SW version 2.75.C.5 to the 2.77?
Any suggestions?

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
How long have you waited?
Have you recently replaced the internal MicroSD card or are you trying to a firmware update?
If the above, was the system working correctly before you attempted the firmware update?

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
I waited for about 45 minutes to an hour, I did not change the sd card, the system worked properly before the first attempt to update, I removed the cable from the car battery and it was the same again, I changed the usb but all the same, it always starts to update on the same place stuck.

Re: How to Replace the Internal MicroSD Card - RT6
Then I'd get another firmware file form another place - these can easily become corrupt due to the download process and fail the CRC check.
I'll send you a PM with a firmware link, but to guarantee a fault free version, the CD can be ordered for a few euros at the dealership.
